We realized the rising trend for biophilic homes, sustainable wood, and beyond wood products, particularly suited for outdoor living spaces.
We also saw that the current wood alternatives do not satisfy customers’ needs, and that’s how our journey began. Over the years, we researched and experimented with presenting our own revolutionary FROGBOARD’ to you.

It is a perfect match if you are looking for alternative building materials to wood.

Cladding with Frogboard. What makes it unique?

Frogboard is a new wood composite material that uses recycled materials to create a sustainable alternative to conventional wood. Moreover, this environmentally friendly material is made from rice husks, which are left over after milling rice grains. The husks are then processed into a powder form, mixed with resin, and molded into boards. These boards are then cut into various sizes and shapes to suit specific purposes.

Frogboard has several advantages over other types of eco-friendly alternatives. First, it’s 100% recyclable. Second, it’s completely biodegradable. Third, it’s water-resistant. Fourth, it’s durable. Fifth, it’s cost-effective. Lastly, it’s environmentally friendly.

100 % WATER - RESISTANT

FROGBOARD relies on upcycled rice hulls. Rice hulls provide resistance to water, weather, rot, and pests. It also adds to beauty and texture. FROGBOARD is 100% water-resistant. This means traditional wood maintenance and replacement is not needed.

FROGBOARD relies on upcycled rice hulls.

Frogboard has the following valuable benefits :

  • It has a Consistent texture, is water-resistant, UV-resistant
  • Low expansion and contraction force.
  • It will not rot, crack, splinter, or swell.
  • It is resistant to mildew, fungi, and pests.
  • It is sustainable and responsible.

MACHINABLE WOOD ALTERNATIVE

Frogboard is workable with standard woodworking tools and doesn’t require any other additional tools.

Machinability for FROGBOARD is as easy as wood.

  • Cutting
  • Drilling
  • Sanding
  • Milling

          SCREWING

  • Traditional screws for woodworking can be used and are recommended over nails.
  • Be sure to consider corrosion resistance with outdoor applications.
  • Pre-drilling can help guide fasteners but is not necessary.
  • Screw retention depends on the screw.
  • It is recommended that screws penetrate the substrate.
  • In conclusion, Frogboard is workable with standard woodworking tools and doesn’t require any other additional tools.

          NAILING

  • Frogboard can be fastened with common nails. Better results are achieved with nails specific to the application.
  • Be sure to consider corrosion and resistance in exterior applications.
  • The nail retention depends on the type of nail (ring shank, smooth).
  • Nails should penetrate substrate no less than under construction.
  • Hence, one can easily work with Frogboard sheets using regular woodworking tools.

          GLUING

  • Frogboard can be bonded with various adhesives to different substrates and materials.
  • Be sure to run preliminary tests to determine if the adhesives you’re considering are fit for purpose.
  • Gluing works best on sanded surfaces or surfaces roughened or pretreated with acetone or primer.
  • Any existing abrasive dust should be removed to improve adhesion.
  • We recommend PVC glue.

THERMOFORMABLE

With an application of heat, this perfect wood-alternative can take up unlimited shapes and can be used to produce great design accents for your living spaces.

Frogboard

Thermoformable property gives the customers flexibility to use Frogboard for multiple interior and exterior living spaces applications.

One can be very creative and innovative while putting together their cladding.

FROGBOARD
can be bonded by heat and compression (heat-sealing). The following short-term heat sealing properties were found.

HEAT-SEALING
Moreover, with heat, you can bend, mold, and manually shape FROGBOARD. You can also use heat to bond pieces of FROGBOARD together.

Specifications:

  • Heating Element Temperature – 440° F
  • Heating Time – 60s
  • Contact Pressure – 0.2 MPa
  • Joining Pressure – 0.2 MPa

Instructions :

  • Be sure to test a small amount before the complete application.
  • Radius will depend on the board thickness. If the radius is too tight, the surface may tear.
  • Allow sufficient time for heating.
  • Sufficient heating (approx. 1 – 1.5 min per mm board thickness).
  • Temperature approx. 250 °F.
  • Hold (lock) — time at temperature approx. 3 – 4 mins.
  • Cooling down (approx. 1 – 1.5 min per mm plate thickness) or faster with water cooling.
  • FROGBOARD can be thermoformed using a vacuum press.
  • A mold may be required or helpful for deep shapes.
